The Director of Sales & Marketing serves as a key member of the executive team with primary responsibility for the overall management of the Company's sales and marketing organization. This role establishes and develops short and long range strategic plans and integrates overall strategies to expand the customer base as well as provide additional services to existing clients and to increase the Company's overall revenue.  

Essential Functions:

Establishes sales and marketing strategic plans, both long and short term and drives execution of those plans. Plans, implements and evaluates comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, and relationship building activities.

Spearheads sales and marketing initiatives that are consistent with the Company's overall strategy and ownership vision. Identifies potential opportunities and develops the tactics and teams needed to bring them to fruition. Manages multiple business initiatives from start to finish.

Develops and manages revenue generation and strategic partnerships. Establishes connections and builds long-term client relationships at senior executive levels to develop a robust pipeline and create leads for potential business expansion. Utilizes leads from clients, partners, and industry influencers.

Supports marketing activities by staffing or participating in key industry events (trade shows, industry meetings, workshops, etc.). Oversees the development of sales and proposal presentations, coordinates contract negotiations and manages customer relationships. Monitors, reviews, and reports on all marketing activity and results.

Assists in closing new business opportunities as needed to achieve or surpass sales goals.

Builds and manages the sales and marketing staff. Provides overall direction, coaching, training, performance assessment, and oversees salary administration, performance evaluation, hiring/firing of staff.

Prepares annual budget and business plans for Sales, Marketing. Monitors budget to actual results on a monthly basis to ensure expenses are within agreed budget and objectives are on target.

Carrying forward the Seibels Brand, in alignment with the company vision and core values.

Measurement of SEO (digital marketing) along with creating other means of measuring the success of marketing, advertising, and networking efforts.

Ability to cultivate contacts for prospecting and garnering new opportunities.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field required, MBA preferred.  

8-10 years marketing, and/or sales experience in the insurance or software industry and in positions of increasing and variable responsibilities including leadership and sales training.

Experience in multiple business facets, such as planning, sales, marketing, budgeting, financial controls, and personnel leadership.

Must have thorough knowledge of the insurance industry including existing relationships with reinsurers, reinsurance brokers, and insurance company executives.

Solid understanding of Company's market: products, services, key resources/contacts, and technologies.

Highly computer literate.
